Cotswold Homes had a planning application refused at committee for 115 homes in the South Gloucestershire village of Falfield. That refusal was the subject of an appeal being progressed.
Approach
TFA were appointed to review community issues and understand whether a resubmission would be successful. We strongly advocated this approach consistent with the clients’ preference for local consents. We ran further community consultation and stakeholder engagement finding greater support and less objection for a redrawn scheme.
Results
A development of 85 dwellings alongside significant community infrastructure went to committee, this time being approved by a majority of councillors.
